To be completely honest
You've once again disgusted me
With your selfcentered universes
and your patriotic blasphemy
for just two days ago
on a painful anniversary
it seemed you all had forgotten
that day of heavy casualty
There were no people wearing pins
Of our banner and our flag
Everyone spoke during the minute of silence
because shutting up is just SUCH a drag.
Few people wore all black,
As I did for I knew
That remembering that day, those people
was what I had to do.
I printed out a list
Of all those who had died.
And I must admit that the length shocked me,
and I began to cry.
I posted it on my friends locker
Since no one would see it on mine.
And I put it on the one next to hers
Since the owner said it was fine.
But it had gotten wrinkled and torn
That list of those in heaven
And now I see that many in this school
had forgotten 9/11.
To those who remembered and did something
to show reverence of that day
Thank you, so much, for doing that;
I wish everyone had remembered that way.

Insert my witty signature here.
I was AMAZED that someone could laugh at this.
I posted this on face book yesterday and some idiot posted "It may be time to move on, you make such a big deal about this and in a way you are helping the terrorists. Their purpose is to go down as martyrs, to be rememebered for ever for what they did. The bigger the deal you make out of it, the more famous it becomes."
It's this kind of attitude that makes all the people of our generation look bad.

[Television] can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires and lights in a box. Good night, and good luck.
.... And I don't really know how to respond to that last part.
